This comprehensive renovation project aims to modernize the island’s oldest mosque while preserving its heritage status. The project includes 20 major tasks: building walkways and entry gate, improving drainage systems, building wall around banyan tree, enlarging doorways, installing 8 garden lights, renovating two water wells, building adhan/iqamah stand, replacing all lights and fans, treating and repainting all pillars and walls, termite treatment for all wood, installing vinyl flooring throughout, water wiring for compound parks, electrical rewiring, and installing an information board. Current conditions show extensively peeling paint, deteriorated well systems, insufficient lighting, and outdated fixtures requiring replacement.
